About
Us
As an obese teenager, Nicki Anderson knew that some day she would
own a business that valued the customer and believed that anyone
could make positive changes given the right environment. After losing
close to 50 pounds with her own system, Anderson knew she wanted
to provide a health and fitness service that focused on health and
long-term changes vs. quick and temporary weight loss or exercise
gimmicks. So, in 1993 Anderson founded Reality Fitness, Inc. What
started as a one-woman operation training solely in-home clients
turned into a full-service personal training studio.
Anderson's experience with traditional health clubs gave her just
the insight necessary to offer something completely different to
those seeking an alternative to unfriendly, intimidating health
club environments. "Health clubs tend to turn away the people they
really need to attract. Reality Fitness is a unique environment in
that allows our clients to come to our studio and work out in a private
room with their trainer, away from distractions thus enhancing the
quality of every personal training session.”
Reality Fitness employs an impressive line-up of trainers keeping
true to the philosophy of not only motivating clients but educating
them as well. Reality Fitness believes that the first step to long
term healthy changes come with proper, realistic educational guidance.
The goal of the Reality Staff is provide each client with the insight
necessary to make the changes needed to achieve his or her goals. “Often
time’s people are given the same exercises over and over again.
You have to know your client, understand their limitations as well
as their strengths and create an effective training session. If you
are training your client with various modalities they will see significantly
better results and a decrease in injuries. That’s our goal
with all of our clients.”
